k.d. - movie review ...must watch Netflix movies

while  every 3 out of ten news published in the media are connected to the issues  of  either  homicide  or  suicide  nowdays ,  is quite unfortunate  but true.  karuppu  durai  the  movie  which  touches  the  so called topic of senicide  brilliantly  is  now  available  on  the  netflix .  directed by madhumita  this  is  story  of   123  minutes  of  journey  belonging  to a  old man  running  from  his  own  family  in  fear  of  getting  killed  by them  with  use  of  an ancient  tradition known as thalai koothal . this practice was used in the past specially in the southern india for mercy killings of bed ridden , severly ill old people by own family members in order to make life easier for all . when an old man gets to know that his own children are getting ready to end his life for the inherited money or property as so ever  the family is  fed up with him . one day he runs away from home aimlessly to live life more he meets a  10 year old kid who does not have any family . the kid is a orphan and was raised by a priest where his parents had left him since he was born. the relationship between them develops  as the story enfolds very silently. back there at home family appoints a private detective to find the old man in order to get his signature  the papers  .the old man loves  biryani too much and when he enjoys eating biryani others people also crave to have one . the  boy tells priest that old man eat biryani today just to make sure that old man does not get his place  to sleep at the temple . after some time consequences occurs so that both have to get out of the temple and the silent story reaches to new heights of love , humanity , kindness and happiness  with each day  of their jorney together ahead . whether did  family find the old man ?  did both of them live together or not ? the answers can be best experienced or  known only by watching this masterclass movie at least for once  .  the child actor nagavishal has played a award winning role in this movie and old man played by mu ramaswamy is simply the best to watch for .  director madhumita surely has treated the plot with all the efforts that can be made to make a perfect soulful movie at the end . do watch the movie on netflix and enjoy !
